    Sister Sister

    Artist: Richard Law

    Dimensions: 16x20

    Medium: Acrylics on Canvas

    A Message from the Artist:

Sister Sister is a painting that captures the effortless bond between two inseparable sisters who do everything together. This acrylic on canvas rendering focuses on live, laugh, and love.

In hues of warmth and love they stand,

    Two sisters, hand in hand,

    Their laughter echoes

A bond that cannot be consumed.

Each stroke of paint, a tale untold,

Of secrets shared and dreams unfold,

Together they find strength and light,

In each other, their hearts take flight.

Live, laugh, and love, their motto true,

In everything they say and do,

Sisters forever, through thick and thin,

    A masterpiece of love within.

Captured on canvas, for all to see,

    The beauty of sisterly harmony,

A painting so pure, so full of grace,

A bond that time cannot erase.

    The Colors of Juneteenth

    Artist: Calvin Woodum

    Dimensions: 16x20

    Medium: Acrylic

    A Message from the Artist:

During The Juneteenth 2025 Celebration at The Historic Harriett Barber House located in Hopkins, SC, I was invited to do an artist demonstration. Inspired by the decorations using the colors of Juneteenth that adorned the exterior of the historic structure, I decided I wanted to create a specific painting to commemorate my visit and involvement at the museum.

Juneteenth is a key American historical event that took place on June 19, 1865—the day all people living in the United States, including the formerly enslaved, were officially granted freedom.

The museum is a living history museum where they have multiple events, projects, and celebrations are held on the grounds throughout the year such as the Memorial Day weekend celebration, the Juneteenth Festival, the annual BBQ & Blues festival, Strong Threads African American Heritage Festival, various historic moving exhibits, family reunions, Taste & Tours, Art Exhibits, The Eclipse peeping & pig pick’n and more!

    54 Massachusetts

    Artist: Napolean Wilkerson

    Dimensions: 22x28

    Medium: Watercolor

    A Message for the Artist:

This painting of the 54th Massachusetts comes from my personal experience as a Civil War reenactor and from learning their powerful history. Wearing the uniform and standing in rank gave me a deep respect for what these men endured. The film Glory

also helped bring their courage to life for me. In this work, I wanted to honor not just their role in history, but their strength, unity, and determination to fight for freedom in a

country that had not yet fully accepted them. This piece is part of my ongoing Black Union Soldiers series, dedicated to keeping their legacy alive.
