King-Tisdell Cottage Foundation
Genealogy Support Research Center and Exhibit
The Genealogy Support Research Center (GSRC) at the Beach Institute works to highlight the power of family history as a bridge between past and present. Through records, photographs, and oral traditions, preserved stories of African Americans in Savannah and beyond can be shared despite systematic disruptions of slavery and displacement. Provided tools and resources for tracing ancestry can help visitors see how personal histories connect to the larger African American experience.
